My husband and I loved our stay in Hollywood Historic Hotel during our vacation (Dec.4 - Dec.7). We had a great time! Perfect location, 24 hrs front desk, perfect and safe parking in the hotel backyard. Hotel building is in a mansion style with beautifully decorated lobby and floors, great garden/patio restaurant. It was very nice to have a view on iconic Hollywood sign from our window. There was a fridge in our room and in addition, they have a microwave at the patio side/back door (that sometimes is very helpful). The rooms are nice and super clean with very comfortable beds and walk-in closet. But what is very special about this hotel - the hotel personnel. They value their guests and will make everything they can to ensure that the hotel guests feel welcome. All hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. Any requests or issues were addressed immediately. I had some problem with opening a room safe and mentioned about it to the Front desk administrator at 11 pm. The issue was resolved in 5 min (so, I didn't have to worry about it at all). In addition, I can't be grateful enough to Betsy (Front Desk administrator). My personal electronic device (that was very important to me) was found in my room after we left. Betsy did her best to help with shipping this to me as soon as possible. And I appreciate it a lot! I would stay in this hotel any time when I have a chance to come to LA. We had a great experience and I am going to recommend this hotel to all my friends and colleagues.

We loved how friendly the reception staff were, in particular Michael and Betty. Both of these staff made us feel safe and had great advice on how to navigate the city as Australian tourists. The room, whilst small, had everything we needed for a week’s stay and the daily cleaning service meant a clean room to come back to each afternoon/night. The reception being open 24/7 made a huge difference for us in terms of feeling safe and knowing there was always someone on hand to assist us had an issue arose. Our LA experience involved the beginning and the unfolding of the incredibly devastating and scary fire events. We were able to constantly check in with Michael and Betty to ensure our safety and felt confident that we were receiving the most up to date information on the fires. We feel the enjoyment of our time in LA was reflective of the staff’s hospitality.

Great location, close to where we had to be every day (in West Hollywood) as well as to various museums and restaurants. The cafe in the same building is convenient for coffee and croissants, but right across the street there is also a real Mexican restaurant ("Mi casita Veracruz") where you can have great tamales for breakfast. The parking at $18/night is a pretty good deal.

Nice, historic hotel in Hollywood. Very close to Paramount and about 3 miles from the TCL Chinese theater and walk of fame. Easy Uber ride although we walked to the theater from the hotel. Room comfy, staff great. Wonderful pictures of the old Hollywood legends adorn the walls on every floor! Free parking in the rear of the hotel. And we got a fantastic price for the area.

Clean and simple room (I booked a King room). Everything worked as it should, there was a mini fridge in the room. The AC unit worked well. Micheal at the front desk was really great, he gave us some tips on things to do and see and overall was just a genuinely nice person. We tried the bakery he suggested and it was great.
